Gay Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender Network

The Gay Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender Network (GLBT) focuses on five objectives:

  • Providing advice to help GLBT employees who might be dealing with issues where their sexuality intersects with personal or career issues
  • Shaping Monitor's policies and benefits to support our GLBT staff (for example, the network works with the global benefits organization to ensure that domestic partnership benefits are available as widely as possible)
  • Strengthening the Monitor community by adding yet another web of relationships that cross offices, national borders, business units and functions
  • Providing pro bono work for the GLBT community (for example, Monitor has provided strategic, marketing and organizational advice to the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, www.glsen.org, a national organization that seeks to create a safe and supportive environment for GLBT students in school)
  • Sponsors recruiting events for members of GLBT groups at MBA and undergrad schools to let them know Monitor is a great and supportive place to work and to give the students an opportunity to ask questions they might not feel comfortable asking in the course of the normal recruiting process.
