With the support of the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and the Ford Foundation, the Monitor Institute collaborated with Blueprint Research & Design, Inc. to outline a field-wide strategic agenda for community foundations. The project examined today’s changing environment for community philanthropy in the U.S. and its implications for community foundations. It involved more than 300 community philanthropy experts and practitioners in a process of discovery, analysis, and iteration to identify emerging issues in the increasingly complex and competitive community philanthropy landscape and to surface innovations that hint at the ways the future may evolve.
